REMOTE MCP · STEP BY STEPConnect your AI assistant
Add the CamMicGo MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini CLI, sign in, and choose whether Google API calls use the shared CamMicGo project or your own Google Cloud quota.
1 · ADD THE SERVERPaste one URL in your assistant
Server URL (Streamable HTTP)
https://seo.cammicgo.com/api/mcp
In Claude, add a custom connector with this URL. In ChatGPT, add it as a custom MCP connector where your plan supports it. Then follow the sign-in window: create or use your CamMicGo account and approve access.
Gemini CLI
Add this to ~/.gemini/settings.json, then restart Gemini CLI:
{
"mcpServers": {
"cammicgo-seo": { "httpUrl": "https://seo.cammicgo.com/api/mcp" }
}
} 2 · AUTHORIZE GOOGLEYour own Google Cloud project, your own quota
CamMicGo never uses a shared Google key for you: sign in with your email, save your own OAuth client, then authorize Google. Each account has a daily allowance of 100 CamMicGo calls (10 per minute).
1 · Your CamMicGo account
Sign in on My account with your email (secure link, no password). The page shows your usage today, for example 34 / 100 calls.
2 · Your Google Cloud client
Paste your client ID and client secret (and project ID) once. Google checks the pair; the secret is stored encrypted and never sent to the AI assistant. Google API calls count only against your own quota.
- 1
Create a project
In Google Cloud Console, create a project and enable Search Console, Analytics Data, Analytics Admin, YouTube Data API v3 and Calendar. Illustrated checklist ↗
- 2
Consent screen
Configure Google Auth Platform. In Testing mode, add your Google address under Audience › Test users.
- 3
Web OAuth client
Create a client of type Web application with this authorized redirect URI: https://seo.cammicgo.com/api/auth/google/callback
- 4
Save it in My account
On seo.cammicgo.com/account, paste the client ID and secret, then click “Connect Google”. The same form appears the first time you connect the assistant. service_info then reports “own Google Cloud project”.
3 · ASKWhat your assistant can read
Read-only access. Google Ads campaign writes and Keyword Planner are not available. Never paste API keys, refresh tokens or OAuth secrets into AI prompts or public issues.
YOUTUBE TRANSCRIPTSTranscripts come from your own devices
YouTube blocks cloud servers, so the remote MCP cannot fetch captions itself. Pair the free CamMicGo app once (Android phone or Windows, macOS, Linux computer), keep it in connected mode, and your assistant gets timestamped transcripts.
- 💬Your AI assistantClaude, ChatGPT… asks for a video transcript.→
- ☁️CamMicGo MCP serverQueues the request. YouTube blocks cloud servers.→
- 📱Your phone or computerThe CamMicGo app, in connected mode, fetches the captions over your own connection.→
- ✅AnswerThe timestamped transcript returns to the assistant within seconds.
- 1
Install the app
Android APK from this page, or the computer app for Windows, macOS and Linux.
- 2
Ask your assistant for a code
In Claude or ChatGPT connected to CamMicGo, ask “give me a CamMicGo pairing code”. You get a code like ABCD-2345, valid for 10 minutes.
- 3
Pair
Type the code in the app and confirm. Connected mode starts on its own.
- 4
Request transcripts
For example “get the transcript of this YouTube video”. Your device fetches it and the assistant receives the timestamped text.
GOOD TO KNOWTwo limits set by Android
🌙
Deep sleep can cut network access
When the phone stays idle with its screen off, Android may suspend apps’ network access to save battery (“Doze”). Requests then wait unanswered.
What to do- While you request transcripts, keep the phone awake or charging.
- In Settings › Apps › CamMicGo SEO MCP › Battery, choose “Unrestricted”.
- If the assistant says “pending”, wake the screen: the request is handled as soon as the network is back (it stays valid for 10 minutes).
⏱️
About 6 hours a day on Android 15
Android 15 limits background sync services to about 6 hours per 24 hours. Past that, the system stops connected mode and the app says so.
What to do- Turn on connected mode only when you need it.
- If it was stopped, open the app and turn connected mode back on.
- Android 14 and earlier, and the computer app, are not affected.
Fetched transcripts are cached for 30 days, so the same video never needs your device again.
