CamMicGo SEO MCP

CamMicGo on Android

An Android app that fetches YouTube transcripts from your phone, on its own or for your AI assistant. Share a video from the YouTube app or paste its link: the timestamped transcript is fetched from your phone, then copy it, export it (SRT, VTT, TXT, JSON) or share it.

If the download does not work, open the APK on GitHub Releases.

The download starts only when you press the button. You may need to allow installing apps from your Android browser.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Use it alone or synced with your AI assistant

On its own, the app extracts the transcript of a video you share or paste. Paired with the remote MCP server (code given by your assistant), it automatically fetches the transcripts Claude or ChatGPT ask for. Some videos have no captions. Full sync guide ↗

Debug-signed test version: only install an APK from a source you trust.

GOOD TO KNOW

Two limits set by Android

Deep sleep can cut network access

When the phone stays idle with its screen off, Android may suspend apps’ network access to save battery (“Doze”). Requests then wait unanswered.

What to do
  • While you request transcripts, keep the phone awake or charging.
  • In Settings › Apps › CamMicGo SEO MCP › Battery, choose “Unrestricted”.
  • If the assistant says “pending”, wake the screen: the request is handled as soon as the network is back (it stays valid for 10 minutes).

About 6 hours a day on Android 15

Android 15 limits background sync services to about 6 hours per 24 hours. Past that, the system stops connected mode and the app says so.

What to do
  • Turn on connected mode only when you need it.
  • If it was stopped, open the app and turn connected mode back on.
  • Android 14 and earlier, and the computer app, are not affected.

Fetched transcripts are cached for 30 days, so the same video never needs your device again.
